Foster care is a big issue,

but the Church is even bigger.

Every community has foster children in need and every community has churches. In fact, many communities have more churches than foster children.

There are 100 Christians for every foster child in the U.S. We just need 1 out of every 100 to say yes to our communities’ foster children.

To make a difference in a foster child’s life, you don’t have to go around the world, simply go around the corner.

Be 1 of the many hands, feet and hearts serving our country’s foster children. Join the movement. Get involved by fostering, volunteering or supporting those who do financially or through prayer.

Foster / Volunteer
If you live in Georgia (metro Atlanta), there is an opportunity to get involved immediately. We are presently in need of loving, Christian families willing to foster and volunteers to support those who foster in Cobb, Cherokee, Forsyth and North Fulton.

What’s the first step?

Complete Encounter FaithBridge, our introduction to Christian foster care ministry which is also part of the state requirement to be a foster or respite parent. Support team volunteers should also complete Encounter FaithBridge to learn how they can serve foster children and restore families.

You can get started one of three ways: complete the information session online, request a one-on-one meeting with a FaithBridge associate at a time and location of your choosing–or, click here to register for upcoming FaithBridge and church-hosted events.

If you do not live in these areas, we encourage you to get involved by joining our mailing list, support our movement financially and through prayer.

Help provide a Christian family for a foster child. Your donations help the recruitment, training and support of foster families and in equipping volunteers who support them.

Pray
Join a monthly prayer call with our friends at FaithBridge Foster Care to lift the cause of the fatherless before the throne. This group gathers on the first Thursday of every month for a conference call.

We Are 1 Million is a movement to raise up 1 Million Christians to serve U.S. foster children. Why 1 Million? Each year, more than 600,000 children spend time in foster care. And caring for children is difficult. No one should do it alone. We need 1 Million caring Christians to step up and live out the Great Commission right here in our own neighborhoods. We Are 1 Million is an initiative of FaithBridge Foster Care and the James Fund.
