What is We Are 1 Million?
We Are 1 Million is a movement to raise up 1 Million Christians to serve U.S. foster children.
Why 1 Million? Each year, more than 600,000 children spend time in foster care. And caring for children is difficult. No one should do it alone.
With 100 Million Christians in America. There are 100 Christians for every foster child in the U.S. We just need 1 out of every 100 to say yes to our communities’ foster children. That’s right, 1 out of 100. We need 1 Million caring Christians to step up and live out the Great Commission right here in our own neighborhoods.
We need families to foster. Volunteers to support those who do. And donors to help provide a Christian family for hurting children. Together, we can help abused, neglected and abandoned children and their families by sharing the Gospel of Christ and the love of Jesus.
Behind the movement
About FaithBridge Foster Care
A Christ-centered, tax-exempt organization intent on changing the way America does foster care, FaithBridge Foster Care works with the local church to solve its community’s foster care crisis.
FaithBridge partners with local churches to create church-led foster care ministries around a small group model, called the Community of CareSM, which provides Christian foster families with unparalleled support and resources. This relationship-enhanced model scales to create local foster family capacity with built-in stability and quality, bringing children and families together in a safe, loving community.
