Give foster children a voice. Your voice. If you are a Christian foster parent, an alumni of the foster system or involved in Christian foster care in any way, we would love to hear from you!

Share your story with us in the form below, and we’ll add it to our page. You can even upload a photo, keeping in mind privacy guidelines for children currently in foster care. Please be sure to read the Terms and Conditions before hitting “submit.” We will review all submissions and post them on this site to share with and inspire others.

    Official Terms and Conditions for We Are 1 Million’s “Share Your Story”

    Give foster kids a voice. Your voice. Share how you have been personally impacted by foster care by submitting your personal testimonial.

    General Terms

    Participants who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to submit their written story. Only stories submitted in English will be eligible for public use. Submission of photo is optional, but encouraged. A link to a photo or video will also be accepted if provided within the text of your submission.

    Foster Child Privacy and Confidentiality

    A foster child’s case is confidential and his or her privacy must be maintained. Submissions should not contain any specific details of foster children currently in care such as actual names, ages, medical history, details of his or her case or that of their birth parents’ or images (photo) that would identify them as a foster child. By sharing a story and posting a photo, you assert that you have fully adhered to these rules of privacy and confidentiality.

    How to Submit

    Submit your written testimonial and/or photo by completing the “Share Your Story” fields using the electronic form found at www.weare1million.org/story. The We Are 1 Million team will review and select the submissions to be posted on the We Are 1 Million site. We reserve the right in our sole discretion to accept or decline the use of any submission.

    Participants agree that We Are 1 Million and its affiliates may publish your story on our website and in materials promoting our campaign. Except where prohibited by law, each submission constitutes permission for We Are 1 Million to use the submission (in whole, in part or altered in any way), biographical information and city and state address (collectively “Publicity Materials”) on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation.

We Are 1 Million is a movement to raise up 1 Million Christians to serve U.S. foster children. Why 1 Million? Each year, more than 600,000 children spend time in foster care. And caring for children is difficult. No one should do it alone. We need 1 Million caring Christians to step up and live out the Great Commission right here in our own neighborhoods. We Are 1 Million is an initiative of FaithBridge Foster Care and the James Fund.
